Chocolate Snowflake Cookies
1 cup sugar
1 cup margarine or butter, softened
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
2-3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup unsweetend cocoa
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
In a large bowl, combine sugar and margarine; beat until light and fluffy. Add milk, vanilla and egg; blend well. Add flour, cocoa, baking powder and baking soda; mix well. Cover with plastic wrap; refrigerate 1 hour for easier handling.
Heat over to 350°F. On lightly floured surface, roll out 1/3 of dough at a time to 1/8 inch thickness. (Keep remaining dough refrigerated.) Cut with floured shaped cookie cutter. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake at 350°F for 8-11 minutes or until set. Immediately remove from cookie sheets. Cool 15 minutes or until completely cooled. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
